UFC - Banner Ads

It's been hell week(s) for me where I haven't had a lot of time to post what I've been working on lately. My latest project was for Revolve an Ad Agency in Nova Scotia where I had the opportunity to work on a set of UFC banner ads. The build required 10x standard banner ads, 1x Voken banner ad and 1x Takeover banner ad. You'll need to click the links to view the Voken and Takeover banner ads. They are way to big to embed here. It is a blur right now but I'm hoping to get some more time to trace back my steps and post the other projects I've worked on prior to the new year.

University of Toronto - Email Campaign

Simple email campaign for the University of Toronto. I was looking up universities before I received this project and UofT is ranked as one of the top Universities in the world. Pretty cool it's just in our back yard but for me it might as well be across the world. I hate travelling to the downtown core. It's mainly why I try to avoid working for any ad agencies because of the wasted travel time to get there. With all the buzz that's going on from multiple TED talks on the subject. I hope to see more distance learning and e-learning in their curriculum in the near future.

MailChimp Saved My Bacon

With all the talk about email mailers that reminds me of a useful tool that came in handy called MailChimp.

When I was building out some email campaigns and needed to run some test deployments I normally send it through a simple and basic mailer I wrote in PHP that sat on my server. The only problem was one day it stopped working or should I say there was a huge delay of 1 - 2 hrs before I received a test deployment of the email.

I jumped on MailChimp and test deployed without any problems. The only issue was the extra footer bar they added with MailChimp branding to the bottom of your code. I'll take that over 1-2 hr delay any day.
