University of Toronto - Email Campaign

Simple email campaign for the University of Toronto. I was looking up universities before I received this project and UofT is ranked as one of the top Universities in the world. Pretty cool it's just in our back yard but for me it might as well be across the world. I hate travelling to the downtown core. It's mainly why I try to avoid working for any ad agencies because of the wasted travel time to get there. With all the buzz that's going on from multiple TED talks on the subject. I hope to see more distance learning and e-learning in their curriculum in the near future.

SickKids Email

Imagine you had to code an html email campaign with no CSS not a single line of it to produce the same results as the photoshop file. That's exactly what happened in the case of building HTML email for SickKids.

Just to be fair it wasn't SickKids that imposed these rules but Reader's Digest who is going to serve up the HTML.

If you're a developer your next thought is to slice up the design into images or make it just one large image BUT there's a stipulation that states a division of 60% text and 40% images and a large image will be rejected. Then you have to deal with background image issues with Outlook which is even worse than IE6. You get the idea but in the end I pulled it off and below is what it looks like.
